Historical and Environmental Museum

Inspiration for the Museum was the structure of the Dymaeon Wall, an acropolis with a 200 m long wall, 10 m high and 5 m wide. A necessary condition was the creation of an elongated and robust construction, like that of the Wall. The museum progressively rises and differentiates the view towards the castle, making the side view the most interesting part of the construction.

The Museum is divided into 3 longitudinal zones, and 4 main levels, with intermediate sections. From the central core-axis, diagonal stone walls are formed, where the visitor moves along with them, through ramps and stairs. The spaces-platforms host most of the functions of the museum, like exhibitions, seminars, lecture rooms, patios).
